BetterMarketers
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
This page explains what personal information we collect when you register for our free live call, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
This website, betterresidual.com, is run by BetterMarketers LLC, a business based in the United States. We are the organization responsible for your personal information.
- Privacy contact: support@bettermarketers.com
The site is a registration page for a free live call that we host every night on Zoom.
What we collect
When you fill in the registration form, we collect:
- Your first and last name
- Your email address
- Your mobile number, if you choose to give it. It is optional.
- Whether you agreed to receive text messages, and if so, when you agreed and the exact wording you agreed to
We also record these automatically when you register:
- The referral code from the link you used (the
?ref=part), so we know who invited you - Your IP address
- Information about your browser and device, sent by your browser (called the “user agent”)
- The date and time you registered
When we register you for the call with Zoom, Zoom creates a registration ID and a personal join link for you. We store both with your registration.
Cookies
We use two first-party cookies:
bm_ref: if you arrive through an invite link, it stores that link’s referral code for 30 days. That way, the person who invited you still gets credit if you come back later to register.bm_reg: set when you register, for 1 hour. It holds a random ID for your registration, so the thank-you page and the calendar download can show your personal Zoom link. Your browser’s scripts can’t read it, and it is only sent over secure (HTTPS) connections.
Neither cookie contains your name, email address, or join link.
We don’t use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools on this site.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the site still works, but the person who invited you may not get credit, and the thank-you page won’t be able to show your personal Zoom link.
Why we use your information
- To register you for the live call with Zoom and give you your personal join link. We email you a confirmation with that link, and reminders before the call.
- To record which affiliate invited you, so we know how you found the call and can credit them. That credit can earn them extra entries in our giveaway, and commissions if you later join our affiliate program or buy something. See the Terms of Use and the Official Rules.
- To send you text message reminders about the Zoom meeting, only if you enter your mobile number on the form. See “Text messages” below.
- To keep a record of registrations, for compliance and to prevent fraud.
- We only email and text you about the live call: your confirmation, reminders, and any changes to the call. We don’t send newsletters or offers. If we ever want to send you anything else, such as giveaway updates, we will update this policy first.
Who we share it with
We use a few service providers to run this site and the call:
- A cloud database provider stores your registration.
- An email and text messaging provider sends our emails and text messages. We send it your name, email address, mobile number, Zoom join link, and whether you agreed to texts.
- A website hosting provider runs this site.
- Zoom hosts the live call. When you register, we send Zoom your first name, last name, and email address so it can register you for the meeting and create your personal join link. Zoom handles that information, and anything it collects when you join, under its own privacy statement.
The affiliate who invited you can see your first name only, so they know their invite worked. They can’t see your last name, email address, or mobile number.
We do not sell your personal information.
Our registration database is stored in the eastern United States. Our other service providers, including Zoom, may process your information in the United States and other countries.
Text messages
We only text you if you enter your mobile number on the registration form, where we explain that entering it means you agree to receive texts. The mobile number is optional, so you can register without it.
- We send reminders about the Zoom meeting. Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help, or email support@bettermarketers.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not share or sell your mobile number or your text message consent to any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes. The sharing described elsewhere in this policy does not include your mobile number or text message opt-in data and consent, except with the service provider that sends the texts for us.
How long we keep it
We keep registration data for 24 months after you register, then delete it.
Zoom keeps its own copy of your registration for the meeting. When we delete your data, or when you ask us to, we also remove you from the meeting’s registrant list in Zoom, which cancels your personal join link.
How we protect it
Registration data is written by our server only. The database is locked so it cannot be read or changed directly from a web browser. Your personal Zoom join link is never put in a web address, so it doesn’t end up in browser history or shared links. The whole site is served over secure (HTTPS) connections, and the keys that unlock the database, Zoom and our email and text provider are kept on the server, never in your browser.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and send you a copy
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- Delete your information
- Stop using your information, or withdraw any consent you gave
To do any of these, email support@bettermarketers.com. We will reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we don’t give your information to someone else.
If you live in the United States
We are based in the United States. Some states, including California, give their residents extra privacy rights. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and share about you
- Get a copy of it
- Correct it or delete it
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, or its use for targeted advertising. We don’t sell it or use it for targeted advertising.
- Not be treated differently for using any of these rights
Email us to use any of these rights. You can also ask someone you authorize to do it for you. If we turn down your request, you can ask us to look at it again.
If you live outside the United States
Your information is handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Your local law may give you more rights, for example the EU and UK GDPR. Email us and we will honor the rights that apply to you.
Children
This service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has registered, email us and we will delete their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date at the top.
